Drive by Automatic Meter Reading
At Radio-Tech we can offer Drive-By Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system with a difference. Not only can we offer system that give you the current running total but also systems that give the parameters as you drive-by! However for those who want more we can also supply historic data even when driving by!
Our meter reading devices can calculate total flow, back flow, forward flow, peak flow and off-peak flow (leak indicator) plus can offer flow profiling (15-minute to hourly samples of flow data).
On top of the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) can be installed devices to transmit valve status, pressure and network leak data from acoustic leak detection devices such as the Palmer Environmental Permalog.
Collection devices usually comprise of a vehicle mounted antenna and receiver with serial output into a data terminal. Data can them be exported as simple CSV files, pushed onto an external dedicated data base or merged with fixed network data from other systems that you may have. Depending upon the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system type drive-by speeds vary from 10km/hr to 50km/hr.
