Our New Harlow Facility Opened in 2006Established in 1993 Radio-Tech Ltd is now one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of wireless technology to the emerging remote metering and monitoring markets. Since August 2005 it became a Halma plc Company and as such joined the FTSE 250.

Over the years we have pushed technological barriers to create what is considered to be by many as a range of products second to none. These products make viable tasks such as automatic meter reading (AMR), water, waste, sewage, temperature, remote asset, building and infrastructure monitoring, using a combination of highly efficient and very reliable low power radio and cellular technology.

Through working closely with Governments, National Bodies and Public Utilities, we have also pioneered the use of secure licensed radio technology in the area of 24/7 wide area automatic metering and monitoring. Systems are now installed in a number of leading European cities, industrial and commercial complexes. These customers are now enjoying the unique performance enhancements available from the use of private licensed radio spectrum. Furthermore, these systems have the opportunity for expansion to become part of an "Integrated Management System". This is a system where meter readings, billing, customer leakage, asset management, service status and network leakage are operated over a single live 24/7 platform.

We are unchallenged World leaders in remote rail temperature monitoring and a leading supplier in the Public Transport sector of bus information delivery systems. We also supply food chain temperature monitoring systems, street light management and structural monitoring systems. Our extensive facilities include RF design, Analogue Design, Digital Design, CAD, Software and Hardware Development, Production Engineering and a parallel cellular based production facility with on line test.

The other modems include the Universal which is approved to MPT 1340 and ETS 300 220. All products are EMC Class-1 certified to ETS-300-683. For long range, radio modem, radio communication links we have the Outback. This The Outback is available as both modems and telemetry systems. These modems are ideal for scanning telemetry and SCADA applications and are 100% MODBUS transparent.
